The University of York is a Russell Group public research university founded in 1963 on a parkland campus at Heslington, on the edge of the historic city of York. It is one of four UK universities rated both Gold for teaching and top ten for research, with a collegiate system and strengths across the sciences, humanities, social sciences and health.
