About
The University of Alabama at Birmingham is a public research university and academic medical centre, and the largest research institution in Alabama. Its schools span medicine, dentistry, nursing, public health, engineering, business and the arts and sciences, with UAB Hospital on the same urban campus. It has been an independent institution since 1969 and runs pathway programmes with INTO University Partnerships.
