About
The University of Alberta is a public research university in Edmonton, established by provincial legislation in 1906 with its first classes held in 1908. It is one of Canada's largest research-intensive universities, teaching close to 900 undergraduate, graduate and professional programmes across 17 faculties and five campuses, with recognised strengths in health sciences, engineering, agriculture and artificial intelligence.
