The University of Dundee is a public research university in eastern Scotland, founded in 1881 as University College, Dundee and independent since gaining its royal charter in 1967. It is known for medicine and life sciences at Ninewells Hospital, dentistry, art and design through Duncan of Jordanstone College, and law including international energy and mineral law.
