Bangor University is a public university in the coastal city of Bangor in north Wales, founded in 1884 as the University College of North Wales. It sits between the Menai Strait and the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia), and is known for ocean and marine sciences, psychology, environmental and forest sciences, and bilingual Welsh-English provision.
