About
The University of Liverpool is a Russell Group research university and one of the original English red brick civic universities, founded in 1881 and based in the Knowledge Quarter of the city centre. It has long-standing strengths in medicine, veterinary science, engineering, materials chemistry and infectious disease research, and runs a rural campus at Leahurst for its veterinary school.
