About
Swinburne University of Technology is a public research university in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, founded in 1908 as the Eastern Suburbs Technical College and granted university status in 1992. It teaches both higher education and vocational courses, with work in engineering, design, information technology, astronomy and business, and runs long-established industry-based learning placements.
