The State University of New York at Oswego is a public university founded in 1861 on the shore of Lake Ontario and a charter member of the SUNY system. It offers more than 120 undergraduate and graduate programmes across four colleges, with established strengths in business, communication and media, education and the sciences. Alongside its 700-acre lakeside campus it operates a branch campus in downtown Syracuse.

- Destination Oswego Scholarship - USD 9,000 per year for full-time international or out-of-state first-year and transfer students with a minimum 3.0 GPA who live in on-campus housing; renewable for up to eight semesters (six for transfers)
- Presidential Scholarship - USD 6,000 per year, awarded automatically to first-year applicants with the strongest academic records (recipients typically have a 96+ high school GPA); open to international applicants
- Dean's Scholarship - USD 4,000 per year for first-year applicants whose academic profile is typically a 93-95 high school GPA; automatic consideration, no separate application
- Merit Plus Scholarship - USD 2,500 per year for first-year applicants with a typical high school GPA of 90-92, including international students
- Transfer Achievement Scholarship - USD 1,500 per year for transfer students with a cumulative college GPA of 3.50 or higher; renewable for up to three years
- Laker Visit Award - USD 500 (paid as USD 250 per semester) for students who attend an eligible admissions visit and then enrol as a first-year student
